I Run My Companies With a Team of AI Agents. Here Is Why.
My name is Jorge Guinovart. Online most people know me as Don Alpha. I am the founder of AI HQ, I am building Third Life World and Liquistate, and I serve as CMO at AuraVision. That is a lot of hats for one person, and for a long time it felt like too many.
So I stopped trying to wear them all myself. Today I run my companies with a team of AI agents. Not one chatbot that answers questions. A team, set up like a real company, with departments, a lead for each one, and a single place where I approve the things that matter.
This is the story of how I got here and what I have learned.
The problem every founder knows
If you have ever started a business, you know the feeling. You are the salesperson, the marketer, the person who answers the email at midnight, the one who checks the numbers and the one who remembers the follow-up nobody else will. The work that actually grows the company gets pushed to the end of the day, and the end of the day never comes.
I was running more than one project at once. Every one of them needed content, research, outreach, customer replies and a hundred small tasks that each take ten minutes and together take your whole week. Hiring for every role was not realistic, and doing it all myself was not sustainable.
From tools to a team
Like everyone, I started with AI as a tool. Ask a question, get a draft, copy and paste it somewhere. Useful, but I was still the one carrying every task from start to finish.
The shift came when I stopped thinking about AI as a tool and started thinking about it as staff. An AI agent can take a goal, break it into steps, use real tools like email, a calendar, a spreadsheet or a website, and report back when it is done. Put several of those together with clear jobs and you have something that looks a lot like a team.
So I built one. Each department has a lead agent. There is a chief of staff that keeps track of what everyone is doing and brings me the decisions. There are agents for marketing, for research, for building websites, for search and for operations. They share notes and rules so nobody asks me the same question twice.
The rule that makes it work
The most important part is not the AI. It is the approval line.
My agents move fast, but anything that spends money, goes out in public under my name or contacts a real person in a new way waits for my yes. I see a short note, I approve or I push back, and the work continues. That one rule is why I can trust the system. Speed without control is just a faster way to make mistakes.
I think this is where a lot of people get AI wrong. They either hand it the keys to everything or they never let it do anything real. The useful middle is a team that does the work and a founder who keeps the final call.
What I am building with it
AI HQ. This is where the idea became a business. AI HQ builds done-for-you AI agent command centers for business owners: the same kind of team I use, set up for your company, with you in the approval seat. You can read more about how it works at AI HQ and about me on the About page.
Third Life World. A game world built around AI agents. Instead of a cast of scripted characters, the world runs on agents that act, decide and react. Follow it on X at @thirdlifeworld_.
Liquistate. Together with Legacy, Liquistate works on tokenizing real-world assets and vaulting collectibles, so a valuable item can stay safe in custody while a public, checkable record of it lives on-chain. You can read the explainers at Liquistate.
AuraVision. As CMO, I help tell the story of private, on-device AI. Aura is built on a simple belief: in a connected world, your data should stay yours. See auravision.co.
What I have learned so far
Structure beats cleverness. A well organized team of average agents beats one brilliant agent with no job description. Departments, leads and shared rules matter more than which model you use.
Write things down. Agents are only as good as the context they get. Every rule I wrote once saved me from answering the same question a dozen times.
Keep humans on the decisions. Money, reputation and relationships stay with me. Everything repeatable goes to the team.
Start small. One department, one lead, one approval queue. Add the next department when the first one runs without you watching.
Why I share this in public
I post about this work because I think most business owners are going to run their companies this way within a few years, and the people who start now will have a head start. I would rather show the real version, approvals and mistakes included, than a polished demo.

If you own a business and you are tired of doing everything yourself, that is exactly the problem AI HQ was built for. Start with one department. Keep the final say. Let the team do the rest.
